Chirag Shah Headshot
Chirag Shah, MD

Chirag Shah, MD, is an anesthesiologist at the Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago. His focus is working on surgical procedures for veterans and implementing an acute pain program to reduce dependence on opioids. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, he completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Chicago and completed a regional/acute pain fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Prior to that, he worked as an investment banker in New York City at Piper Jaffray. Dr. Shah has participated in numerous initial public offerings, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as debt offerings. He has a BA in economics and a minor in business development from Northwestern University. He currently lives in Chicago with his wife and two kids and is interested in finance, travel, and all Chicago sports.
