Andrea Stagg, Esq
Director of Consulting Services - Grand River Solutions
Andrea Stagg (she/her) is currently Director of Consulting Services for Grand River Solutions. Before joining Grand River, she was Associate Counsel at the State University of New York, and then Deputy General Counsel and Director of Government Relations and Compliance at Barnard College. At SUNY, Andrea co-coordinated a working group that created the policies underlying New York Education Law Article 129B, a groundbreaking state law providing fair and transparent practices to prevent and respond to sexual and interpersonal violence on campus. She continues to serve on a campus working group with sexual violence prevention and response partners throughout New York state. Andrea received the Commissioner’s Award from the State University Police (2014), and the First Decade Award from the National Association of College and University Attorneys (2019). She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with high honors from Rutgers University, and received her law degree from The George Washington University. Andrea worked in federal higher education lobbying for Rutgers University before attending law school.

Senior Director of Compliance and Innovation Solutions - Grand River Solutions

Joseph Storch (@JosephStorchNY) is the Senior Director of Compliance and Innovation Solutions for Grand River Solutions. In that role he advises clients and works to develop new products, training, and resources in compliance, response, and prevention. Joe has provided over 700 digital and live conference presentations and training sessions to tens of thousands of higher education professionals in 30 U.S. states, furnishes technical guidance to numerous education institutions, organizations, and associations, and has twice served as an expert witness before the United States Senate (Armed Services, 2019; Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, 2016). He previously served as Associate Counsel in the SUNY Office of General Counsel and Chair of the Student Affairs Practice Group. At SUNY, he founded the Center for Advanced Research in Reducing the Impact of Violence in Education (ARRIVE Center) and served as Principal Investigator on more than $20 million in grants and external funding. He founded and oversaw the SUNY Student Conduct Institute, which offers compliance and best practice training annually to thousands of higher education professionals engaged in response to violence and conduct violations.

Susan Liden, DRM Education Manager
Sue Liden serves as Education Manager for the University Risk Management & Insurance Association (URMIA), where she curates professional development opportunities and offers risk solution resources for its members. She retired at the end of 2022 as the Director of Risk Services at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She worked as the university’s risk manager since 2008. Mrs. Liden has been a member of URMIA since 2008 and has served on various committees to include membership, finance and annual conference committees. She served as the Secretary for URMIA's Board of Directors from 2017-2021. She also served on the Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc. (EIIA) Advisory Council and as a Trustee for the EIIA Student Trust and she served on the United Educators Risk Management Advisory Committee. In 2021 she was named by URMIA as a "Distinguished Risk Manager."RMIA
